An Artist Bio

Samantha Bertram graduated from the Illustration program at OCAD University (2017), where she received her Bachelor of Design (BDes). She was a part of the Design Exchange program (2016), where she attended the College of Ducan and Jordonstone in Scotland. She has had her work featured in local gallery showings such as PEACE MAEL, A Toronto based pop up art exhibition showcasing emerging artists (2019).   Samantha grew up with an unseen disability, which affected her outlook on the world. To cope she escaped to graphic novels, and stories made by other creators. Working with these story-telling elements, she explores identity and societies perception of disability.
